His personal research interests include:

He has recently been a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Education, University of London.

Projects

He was leading, from 1997 to 2001, the project of "Research and Development of Faculty Development Programmes for Media Literacy and Skills in Instruction" (MLSI in short) at the National Institute of Multimedia Education (NIME).

He chaired the steering committee for the NIME's 2004 International Symposium of e-learning in Higher Education,

Starting in April 2001, he is leading a new project of "Faculty Development for Media Literacy and Flexible Learning Support" (FDFL, in short). Here is a paper concerning FDFL,
and his lecture on the strategies for improving college instruction, syncronized with PPT slides.

  • Workshop for Media Package: British Library/NCET's "Libraries of the Future": January 26, 2001 at NIME.
  • Educational Media Science Series Lectures via SCS: Hiroo Saga gave the Second Lecture on April 21, 2000.
