Inhabitant and Consumer
Those companies producing several products and offering services are mainly pursuing profits only from a productivity standpoint. From now on, however, a new philosophy has emerged: to respect humanity by taking inhabitant and consumer viewpoints into consideration. This department is offering courses from these viewpoints compared with those of the other universities.

Regional Development
Regional development may not be achieved just by constructing public facilities or inviting companies but by harmonizing policies with the natural environment or inhabitant's lifestyle. This department is educating students to enhance their capabilities to find out regionally rooted affluence.

Those companies with new technologies and sophisticated knowledge of creative management are drawing public attention. Life-long employment system of Japan has been changed drastically and many are seeking to enter into new business ventures or establish small but creative entities. Specific capabilities for self-help minds to meet such changes are taught in this department.

Responsibility
On one hand, globalization of business management is accelerated by rapid advancement in information technologies but, on the other, the social responsibility of producers and service providers are required to create their competitiveness. The department is teaching global management systems as a competitive advantage as well as social responsibility including compliance with higher social and environmental standards.
